IF I WERE A 4400...

Greetings friends and family,

This page is dedicated to The 4400, the newest television series that successfully mixes sci-fi with fantasy to create a thrilling drama of love, power, crime, sex, mystery, and reality. It airs on USA, Sundays at 9pm. It's about people abducted from the past by the future, into the future, physically altered by the future, and then mysteriously placed into our present. You've got to see this show!

Today, I am proud to be a 4400.

FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 17, 2006


The newest 4400 Fan of the Week, Billy M., came across the show by accident but has since become hooked. His desired power is the ability to become a spirit, able to converse with the dead, bring others with him into the spirit world, and bring spirits into our world. Sounds like there would be a lot of possibilities with a power like that, most of them too spooky to imagine! Here is his entry...

I'm hooked! When I stumbled onto this show accidentally it was like a dream come true! I've been waiting for a real show that captured the realistic essence of humanity with the abilities of the comic book superheroes we've all grown to know and love. The 4400 feeds the fantasy & sci-fi fan's soul and is an A+ quality show for all.

If I were a 4400, I would definitely want the ability to become a spirit at will (I call it transfiguration). With this ability I would be able to see and speak with the dead and any other spirit. I also would be able to witness the existence of spirits that might be haunting/influencing/possessing the living. I would also be able to take people into the spirit realm with me by touching flesh to flesh, and would be able to bring spirits into the physical world by touching spirit to spirit.

The dilemma of using this ability would be the danger of being captured in the spirit realm by evil spirits or being accosted by spirits that want to "come back to life." Once a spirit links onto me in the spirit realm, the only way to get free (if I can't shake the spirit) is to return with the spirit to the physical realm, which is not a desirable option. Of course, I would not be able to "transfigure" if I were asleep or unconscious, but this ability would definitely add a new dimension (a spiritual one) to the show in years to come.
